The Hands On Technology Transfer, Inc. (HOTT) Perl
Programming and CGI Scripting course teaches students how to
use the Perl programming language for CGI programming, including
database access using DBI. Perl incorporates features of awk,
sed, C and more to make a powerful, flexible, easy to use programming
language suitable for many tasks including system administration
and distributed programming, as well as Web/CGI programming. This
class is especially useful for programmers, system administrators,
and desktop publishers. Among the topics are an introduction to
the basics of Perl, the built-in function library, communicating
with other applications using Perl, and CGI programming with Perl.
Hands on exercises are performed throughout training each day
to reinforce key concepts.
